End of An Era

We have some bittersweet news to share.

We have decided to close Eva’s Echo’s curtains at the end of 2024. This was not an easy decision to make and was not made lightly. We ( Rena & Hazel) will both continue to create theatre but are being pulled towards new pursuits and wish to spread our creative wings. Echo Acting will continue providing classes and support for emerging artists in Galway. As well as continuing the wonderful children’s theatre at Loughwell Farm.

We are so incredibly grateful for the support we have received from venues, funding bodies, arts organisations, artists, and of course audiences throughout the years. There are far too many artists to name but without their collaboration, we would not have been able to tell such powerful and beautiful stories. The same goes for all of the amazing venues we have performed at throughout the years. But we would like to give a special thank you to Fergal McGrath for giving us our start and Síomha Nee for the courage to go after our future.

As Shakespeare said “What’s past is prologue” and what a prologue these amazing 7 years have been.

Lots of love & gratitude,
Rena & Hazel, Eva’s Echo
